Pacific Strokes is an exciting new program offered by Pacific Rowing, home to our competitive collegiate program Pacific Crew, and our 3 Deep Water Community programs. This program is perfect for students who like being on a team and want to escape the pressures of academics in a healthy, fun, and positive atmosphere where each participant can train at their own pace with others with similar fitness goals.
Pacific Strokes was created for Pacific students who want to row and train for fitness and fun, but who simply don't have the time to train competitively or have difficulty beginning their training day at 5 am. Pacific Strokes currently meets 3 days a week; Tuesday and Wednesday evenings 6-8 pm, and Saturday mornings 9 am - 11 am.
Activities include rowing in various size shells on our beautiful delta, structured spin classes on our rowing machines, core work, stretching/flexibility training, relaxation exercises, and tips on proper diet and rest strategies that will give you an edge when competing in the classroom.
Students who "row with the strokes" will experience the ultimate team sport and participate as often or as little as they feel is appropriate to their work load. Carpools are available for students who don't have a car here at campus for the 5-7 minute drive to the waterway....
Pacific Strokes is just $95 per semester and covers use of University equipment, coaching, and a Pacific Strokes T-shirt!
